Kelly Slater's new performance shortboard: the Spaceship. Designed in collaboration with Mike Woo the Spaceship is the same shape that Kelly rode during his memorable Kirra sessions in March 2024. Mike and Kelly have designed a more traditional outline that excels at offering hold and control deep in the tube and on the rail through big carving open face turns. Imagine the barrel of your life straight into a massive carving roundhouse cut back, thats what this board was built for.
Wave Type
A high-performance model for good waves. This board is Kelly's favourite shape for good waves, especially reef passes, points and lined up beach breaks.
Fin Set Up
The Spaceship comes as a five-fin box board, Kelly rides it as a Thruster and a Quad depending on conditions.
Volume
It is a performance shape with bladey rails and should be volumed similar to your standard shortboard.
I-Bolic 2.0 Technology
I-Bolic 2.0 Technology is an evolution of Firewire's patented I-Bolic Technology, which is Kelly Slater’s favourite core construction to ride. I-Bolic 2.0 Technology offers the same speed, control, strength and response as the original, but with increased strength due to a fully engineered carbon strip inlay on the bottom deck and an updated look.
