Does Burton Snowboards still own Channel Islands?

Originally, Al Merrick sold Channel Islands Surfboards to Burton Snowboards in 2006 to help provide more time for Al Merrick and the Channel Islands Team to work on focusing solely on board innovation and producing the best surfboards around. After years of great partnership between CI and Burton, CI Surfboards LLC acquired the brand and took full ownership at the end of 2021.
