The idea for the Dumpster Diver 2 came from Dane Reynolds surfing the original Dumpster Diver whilst filming "Out the Rafters". Dane was blown away by how the Dumpster Diver felt and was inspired to create a longer and more modernized version. For context: the original Dumpster Diver is considered one of the pioneering small wave performance shortboards that excels in mushy waves.
Compared to the original, the DD2 features more width in the nose and tail, more nose and tail rocker, and a more subtle single concave. This along with a few more tweaks allows the board to excel in a wider range of conditions and let you rip even harder
